Description

This is a really neat old bottle. It is in good condition with no chips or cracks. It has a solid black bottom with a letter "W" on the bottom. It dates as far as I can tell to about the 1860’s. It has bubbles in the glass that are neat. I am uncertain of what is in the bottom. If it is metal or simply some kind of dried up product. I soaked it for several days and then scrubbed it with a bottle brush. I believe this may have been a piece of lab ware that was used for heating. I am uncertain. It would have had a cork top. It has no threads. It is 9 1/4" tall and 3 1/2" across the bottom. From a Pharmacy that began in the mid 1800’s and closed in the 1970’s. A really neat old piece. The bottle has a line on the sides where the bottle was molded, but the top of the bottle is applied, it doesn’t have the line.
