A very RARE find here. This is a Giant Apothecary jar that dates to before the Civil War. ca. 1850’s-60’s. It is in mint condition with no chips, cracks or flea bites. It has a hand applied top and the seam goes to about 2 inches under the lip. It is very large at 16" tall. The shape of the jar is unique and it is just very neat. It is 4 1/2" across the opening in the top. It is 6" square across the bottom. The stopper is ground glass. It has a polished bottom. It is a blown glass into a form. The shape is unique. Perfect for any candy collection or farmhouse. Great for Flour or Coffee. A Very RARE find in this condition. I try to describe items as accurately as possible.
