Absolutely Stunning! I love hand painted roses and some artist are able to paint them so perfectly. This is an Bavarian plate is from about 1850-60. It has lovely pink roses and a green and light green background. There are pink and white roses with lots of green leaves in various shades. It is 9 7/8" across. How perfect would this be to serve cookies or torts on? Great for a wedding or special party.
Tirschenreuth was famous for fine quality porcelain and vintage pieces are highly sought after by collectors. The Famous Porcelain Factory was shut down many years ago.
I think it is awesome that some of these pieces have survived for over a hundred years and are still as beautiful today. I try to describe items as accurately as possible.
