This is a Fantastic Mid Century Modern Plate. It has a blue and aqua pattern and is all trimmed out in gold. It has raised blue dots throughout the front of the plate. This piece is an Artisan made enameled bowl that is signed Sascha B. This particular plate is 11 7/8″ across the top. It has a copper hanger on the back so it is able to be hung for display. Perfect for any Modern home. These bowls and plates are highly collectible and are all just stunning pieces.
Sascha Brastoff made decorative accessories, ceramics, enamels on copper, and plastics of his own design. He headed a factory, Sascha Brastoff of California, Inc., in West Los Angeles, from 1953 until about 1973. He died in 1993. Pieces signed with the signature Sascha Brastoff were his work and are the most expensive. Other pieces marked Sascha B. or with a stamped mark were made by others in his company.
