This pattern is called Calendula (or Morgenfrue) and was produced by Aluminia Royal Copenhagen faience from 1934 to 1967, such was its popularity and timeless qualities. The design is by the iconic designer and potter NILS THORSSON. This beautiful Teapot is an early production piece, based on the coloring and crazing, it also does not have the basket weave on the edges. It is signed on the bottom with Aluminia Pottery mark, also know as the beehive mark. It is in great condition with no damage of any kind. The zinnias are orange with brown centers. This beautiful teapot is 7" tall. It is a buttercream in the background and trimmed out with orange, brown and green. It is 10" from the spout to the handle. This teapot if made by Royal Copenhagen in Denmark.
