A very sturdy primitive backpack. It is very solid wood and leather. It seems to be all intact. There are leather straps for attaching it to the back and there are additional leather straps. There are a couple of hooks at the top for adding additional items to carry on it. It is a great old piece and very nice condition. Although the leather is old, the straps are all in pretty nice condition. No tears or damage. The wood is solid and it has a heavy metal frame. It isn’t something I would be able to carry, especially if it were loaded. It is 29" long and 14" wide. It is adjustable and weighs 13lbs as it sits. This is a great very old piece. I do not see a maker’s mark on this piece anywhere.
