From my personal collection, I have a cabinet full of demitasse tea cups and saucers. When I get a new one, I boot out an old one that I don’t love as much as some of the others. It is becoming more difficult to do the kicking out of some of my favorites. I have had this piece for about 30 years and it is time to let it go. This piece is Austrian. Made in Germany and has a very ornate pattern of flowers in the background and bright carnations on the front. It is just a stunning piece. It has great detail and no damage of any kind. The saucer is 52" across. The cup is 2 7/8" across the top and 2 1/4" tall. Just a very stunning, early demitasse. It dates to the late 1800’s to early 1900’s.
