Description
This is a fantastic print block made in Japan during the late 1700’s to early 1800’s. It is made of wood and has fantastic detail. There are arches in the center that have thin lines behind them. There are trees on each side of the arches. The top has 5 stars across the top and there is Kanji printing across the bottom of the block. It is detailed on the back as well with scrolls. It is 9 1/2" long, 7 1/4" wide and 1" thick. This is a rare and unusual find. From Japan. I have adjusted the picture to show the detail. This is a black piece.
