This is a pretty neat and rare item. It is an old postal worker’s carry along desk. It is divided inside and has has blotters on 2 of the shelves. There are some old postal paperwork pieces with this item. There is a metal handle on the top of the case. It is slanted and the front drops down. It has a metal latch that holds the top to the front of the box. It is all metal and has a thin metal handle. It is designed to hold money in a trough. There are several bars for holding down dollar bills and paperwork. It is a fantastic old piece. This is the first I have been able to buy in 40 years of collecting. It has some wear on the bottom as would be expected with a piece of this age. It is slanted on the front. It is 10" long at the base and 9" long at the top. It is 6 1/2" across the front and 6" tall. The front of the lid is a folded metal. Quite unique.
