Description

This is a fantastic hospital robe. Designed in the 40’s and 50’s to wear over your hospital gown, when having a baby. You would get lots of visitors and this was a little dressier than the hospital white gowns. It short, to the waist for sanity reasons. This piece is 100% cotton and is trimmed with lots of lace. There is lace around the collar, down the front and across the chest. There is lace trim around the sleeve ends as well. The sleeves are about a 3/4 sleeve. This piece is made by Charmode and put out by Sears and Roebuck. It is in good condition with one very thin spot, that I have pictured. It is 16" across the shoulders, 22" under the arms, the sleeves are 18" long and the robe is 19" long. A very unique and rare find. A very neat old piece. I am sure this is what June Cleaver would have worn when she had Wally and the Beave. lol.. I try to describe items as accurately as possible. I prefer not to take returns. If I have made a mistake in a listing, I will make it right with the buyer.
