From my personal collection, I have decided to downsize the time it takes me to dust each week. I am also afraid that all of my favorite things will end up on the quarter table. lol… This piece is a Beautiful Paragon tea cup and saucer made in England. It is a fine bone china and in excellent condition. It holds 6 ounces and is suitable for coffee or tea. This tea cup and saucer set is done on a white background and is beautifully colored with purple Thistles and light and dark green leaves. It is trimmed on the edges in gold. It is and earlier set of Paragon. It has beautiful coloring and a fantastic design. The saucer is 5 5/8" across. The cup has a pedestal base and is 3 3/4" across the top and 2 3/8" tall. A great gift for your Scottish friend.

The thistle has been the national emblem of Scotland since the reign of Alexander III (1249–1286) and was used on silver coins issued by James III in 1470.
