A stunning Mid century modern vase. This is an Amberina glass 13.25" vase. It is a stunning piece and in excellent condition. It is red in the middle and yellow at the top and bottom of the vase. It has a yellow base and lighter at the bottom and around the top rim.
Amberina is the name given to a type of glass with gradient color that starts out red at the top of the piece and changes to amber at the bottom. Variations in hue range from lighter shades that look almost pastel pink and yellow to rich, deep tones of ruby red and amber.
A number of different companies manufactured this type of glass beginning in the late 1800s and continuing into the early 20th century. I try to describe items as accurately as possible.
